At Danica Dental House, Anna Bruton, our dental hygienist brings expertise and warmth to our patients. A valued member of our team since 2017, Anna has worked alongside Dr. Rafaela Dajanovic since 2022 when she acquired the practice. A native of Kure Beach, North Carolina, Anna has a personal connection to our practice, having been a patient herself as a teenager. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (2003) and an Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene from Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, North Carolina (2005). After graduating, Anna embarked on a fulfilling 12-year career as a contract dental hygienist at the Marine Corp Recruit Depot on Parris Island, South Carolina. When she's not busy tending to our patients, Anna cherishes her time with her family at the beach, indulges in her love for reading, and enjoys working out. Her warm smile and genuine care for our patients’ dental well-being ensures that every experience our patients have with her is both positive and comfortable.
Suzy’s dental career began in 1986 after graduating high school and then going to Case Western School of Dentistry in Cleveland earning her degree in Expanded Function Dental Assisting. She and her family moved to Wilmington in 2001 where she continued her career and dentistry and for the last 13 years has worked her in our office. She enjoys getting to know each and everyone of the patients that walk through the door. She wants to make sure they have the best and most comfortable experience here in the office so that when they leave they feel great about whatever they have had done. Plus the SMILE after she loves to see. After 38 years as a dental assistant, Suzy has decided that she wanted a change in the office. So Dr. Dejanovic and she discussed her becoming the Patient Care Coordinator so that she can still do everything she is passionate about. Her passion is to help patients save their teeth and to achieve beautiful smiles.
"Welcoming, professional and respectful of patients levels of anxiety/ and distress regarding dental procedures. The staff takes excellent care in the comfort of patients. Questions are answered respectfully. Warmth and concern are expressed approximately. This is a practice that builds relationships between professional staff and their patients- who are not just “passing through” but are part of the practice- which is not so large that one feels like a number- not an individual."
